About our Dance for Parkinson's Instructors

RICHARD AND DIANE CARUSO
Richard and Diane both have a love and passion for dance. Diane grew up in the UK where it was just part of life to go ballroom dancing with your parents on a Saturday night. Diane began taking formal ballroom and Latin dance classes at age 8, graduating as a gold level Junior in International style ballroom. Diane represented the Arthur Murray Dance Company in American style ballroom, in the US.
Richard gravitated to the ballroom world in his teens and very quickly rose to gold level teaching/private coaching status through the Fred Astaire Dance Academy in American and International ballroom dancing. In addition to competing in these two styles of ballroom dance Richard also competed successfully in professional theatre arts and cabaret competition.
Although Richard and Diane no longer teach professionally, they bring their love of dance to their beloved Dance for Parkinson’s students on a weekly basis. From Waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba, cha cha cha, merengue, to name but a few our DforP students are willing to try anything. It is our extreme privilege and honor to be able to bring a skill and passion for something we love to this particular arena.
Richard and Diane both are Bone Builder Leaders and Diane is also the Founder of Bone Builders of Rhode island who are about to open their 12 location.
